Group Settings

Group Settings is the motherload - it's your Meetup cockpit, where you'll do a lot of your Meetup organizing. Group Settings links to everything you need to run your Meetup group. To get there, sign in to your Meetup account, go to your Meetup group's Our Home page, and click the "Group Settings" link in the upper left corner.

What exactly can you do from Group Settings? Great question. You can:


1. Basic Info

Set up and control the nitty-gritty details of your Meetup group. Details like:

  • Meetup Group name
  • Meetup Group description
  • List your Group in additional topics
  • Meetup Group main photo
  • Meetup Group headline
  • Meetup Group topics


2. Your Members

Set up and control info about your Meetup group members

  • What are members called?
  • Custom profile questions
  • Welcome message to new members
  • New member notification


3. Optional Features

Cool things you can do if they make sense for your kind of Meetup group. You can:

  • Automatic Meetup scheduling
  • Membership dues
  • Customize "What's new?" updates
  • Mailing list options
  • Message board options
  • The Organizer's Checklist
  • Meetup Places notifications


4. Privacy

  • Make Meetup Group pages private
  • How can new members join?
  • Who can create new About Us pages?


5. Manage your PayPal account
