New Features 11/15/2006

We're happy to announce what's new in our November release. As you may have noticed, this release comes just 2 weeks after our last one, so it's more about quality than quantity.

• Holiday Party theme

As many of you have already noticed, we are offering special holiday-themed events. So have a holiday party! Choose "Holiday Party" when you're scheduling an event and any info about the event (on Calendar, group welcome page, event page) will be decorated with festive snowflakes.




• Holiday Party invitations

To go with our Holiday Party themes, we've created holiday-themed email invitations as well. Choose from snowflake, ornament or food-drive.




• Easier RSVP for mulitple events

We heard that some of our recent changes affected RSVP numbers for groups with many events. To help solve this, we added a list of other upcoming events to the RSVP process. Now when people RSVP for one event, they will immediately see all of that group's events quickly and easily.




• Improved venue-picker

We've improved the experience when you're choosing, adding or editing a new venue while scheduling an event.

In addition to the major things above, we implemented the winners from last month's split testing, and are continuing to run similar tests. Our goal is to make the site as easy to use and as clear as possible, so that anyone can find and join your Meetups.
