Organizer Center Organizer of the Week › Brad Axelrad is the Meetup Organizer of the Week for December 3 - 9, 2007!

Greetings! This week we head to sunny Southern California to speak with an Organizer who has dedicated his life not only to his own personal growth and spiritually, but through his Meetup has given a hand to hundreds of members in their own journey to enhance their lives.

He writes:

I receive numerous e-mails weekly with people stating that their lives have changed and the business relationships they have established have been second-to-none. My life has changed because I am living my purpose, and I have the dream job of leading other like-minded individuals to help them expand their purpose. It truly has been the greatest gift of my life.

His story is a testament to the power of groups to effect a wonderful, prosperous impact for not only for the members of the group, but using the profits of his Meetup to help out various community organizations.

Read on...his enthusiasm is inspiring and infectious!

Here he is, The Meetup Organizer of the Week, Brad Axelrad and his Meetup, Law of Attraction Center.

Thanks, Brad!

  1. The Law of Attraction - its principles can be traced within a long histories of inspirational writings from the ancient teachings of Siddhartha Gautama to the writings of Norman Vincent Peale, Esther Hicks and her communications with the non-physical Abraham, and the teachings of evangelist Joel Osteen. Tell us how your initial interest was sparked.

I have always had an interest in personal growth and spirituality. I researched religions and philosophies for the last ten years and have been studying Quantum Physics since 2004. When I first saw "What the Bleep Do We Know?" it resonated so deeply with me that I knew it would be the path towards finding my ultimate bliss. After having seen that movie and the follow-up to it, "Down the Rabbit Hole" 40 times each, I have been blown wide open to the concept of infinite possibilities and realize that we truly are co-creating our lives.

Some of the influential people I connected with are Wayne Dyer, John C. Maxwell, Deepak Chopra, David Deida, and, of course Anthony Robbins. I've been a fan of Joel Osteen for quite some time as well. The teachings of Abraham have been pivotal in deepening the emotional and vibrational aspect of it all. "The Secret" has been a big part of my transformation and I have seen it and shown it to over a hundred people. It is an incredible summation of all of these teachings and very well put together.

I am so grateful for the rapid, global expansion of the new-thought teachings; the world is ready for this movement.

  2. The death of your father in 2005 was a touchstone for change in your life. Could you share with us how the impact of his passing further fueled your interests in the Universal laws?

My father's passing was the beginning of my deepest surrender. Realizing his mortality and my own was life-changing. I spiraled into the darkest months of my life and was attracting some circumstances that were, without a doubt, manifestations of my grieving vibration and the Law of Attraction in effect. I had never felt so alone and so lost. Through this loss and months of introspection, I was shown my purpose. The Law of Attraction was in effect here as a new path was shown to me out of grief and despair; I attracted the way to joy - my purpose. It seems that through our darkest times, the greatest gift emerges!

I had numerous manifestations that lead me to the book "Ask and It Is Given". As soon as I read this truth-filled material, I knew that I would be involved with it at some capacity. The Law of Attraction is Quantum Mechanics in effect. It is truly a reflection and projection of our internal world.

  3. Recently you've founded the Law of Attraction Center in Irvine, CA. Could you tell us the primary purpose of the facility and what you hope to accomplish through the Center in the future.

The purpose of the center is to create a community based on Universal Laws and Truths with a platform for keynote speakers to share their specific knowledge on various topics to help us expand in our lives and better serve humanity. While expanding our consciousness, the world benefits by osmosis. Below are our Mission and Vision statements:

    MISSION

The Law of Attraction Center is a cross-denominational community of like-minded individuals with the conscious intention of harnessing and utilizing the power of Universal Laws and Truths to manifest abundance in all aspects of life; which will, in turn, expand outwards to bless and serve the lives of others around the world.

    VISION

The vision for The Law of Attraction Center is to beneficially impact individuals and communities on a local and global level through its ongoing and expansive community gatherings and various outreach programs, service projects, and global initiatives.

  4. The very motivating and inspirational gatherings you facilitate at the Center must bring you a great sense of joy and accomplishment. Please share with us your most memorable moment during an event as well as how participation in your Meetups has changed your life and the lives of your members.

One of the most memorable moments was when we moved into our 2,700 sq. foot location in Irvine, CA for our Grand Opening on 8/27/07. We had 150 attendees, live music, catered raw food, and two well known, keynote speakers: Pat Finn (Host of the CA Lottery Big Spin TV Show and founder of www.rubiconresults.com) & Audrey Cavenecia (personally hired by Anthony Robbins to implement a collaborative model into his organization - www.collaborativeliving.com). To see the progression from 5 people in a living room, to such a large group of passionate people was an amazing experience.

I receive numerous e-mails weekly with people stating that their lives have changed and the business relationships they have established have been second-to-none. My life has changed because I am living my purpose, and I have the dream job of leading other like-minded individuals to help them expand their purpose. It truly has been the greatest gift of my life.

  5. Walk us through a typical Law of Attraction Center meeting.

Our meetings are highly interactive, inclusive and a lot of fun! I have found that we learn the most when these three things are integrated. I am blessed to be able to write an agenda on a weekly basis that includes guided visualizations, meditations, dyad and small group exercises.

For example: I will have people stand up and walk over to someone they have never met before and stand in front of the person and feel what they are feeling, staring into the persons eyes. I will then have them close their eyes and visualize what they are grateful for in their life. They will visualize and feel that for 30 seconds and then I have them open their eyes. Then, they speak for 1 minute to their partner specifically what it is they are grateful for and have them really feel into it and surrender into it. The goal is for everyone to get in tune with the feeling vibration and be aware of the amazing life they live! This really raises their vibrations and gets everyone involved, connected and joyous! Regardless of our life conditions and circumstances, we always have a lot of things to be grateful for!

Also, in the last few weeks, we have implemented an active Board of Directors that includes a music director, Mark Romero (www.markromeromusic.com). Starting in January, we will have live music to start the evening and finish the evening. We?ve had live music in the past, but not on a regular basis. We are all really looking forward to this amplifying experience.

  6. The Law of Attraction Center's website is really great. Do most of your members find you through the website or do most come to you from Meetup.com or other methods of advertising your group?

A good portion of the attendees came by way of the meetup.com website. As we progress, and the members experience positive transformation and a sense of community, they tend to share the experience with the people in their personal and professional life, as well as online, so the growth has become more viral. We've also been blessed with extensive media exposure. NBC Nightly News paid us a visit 8 weeks after the inception of the group. I have been interviewed on PBS Television, in The Orange County Register and the LA Times. USC/News 21 came down and did a multi-media presentation of the group as well. These wonderful manifestations have also played an instrumental part in our growth.

  7. What is the best opportunities or events that have occurred since you set your mind to studying the Laws of Attraction?

On a daily basis I am introduced to incredibly profound, professional people within the personal development industry. From those introductions, there have been numerous collaborative opportunities that have manifested. The group itself, and what it represents, attracts iconic masters that also benefit from the opportunity to present their ideals to hundreds of passionate professionals. Conversely, the members of the organization benefit greatly on a weekly basis because of the depth of knowledge they are exposed to.

A specific example: Starting in January 2008, we will be co-promoting a monthly expo, The Orange County Health and Wellness Expo along with The Living Temple in Huntington Beach, CA (www.thelivingtemple.com). This event will be host to 5 speakers and 34 vendors in the Health, Wellness and Green communities. We are expected to have up to 300 blissful attendees.

  8. Where do you see yourself headed in the next 5 years?

Five years from now, I will have published my third book, and I will be leading groups around the world on the Law of Attraction and Quantum Physics. Working with communities such as the Agape Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, CA (www.agapelive.com) and other well known communities, I will be traveling the world and will be involved in expansive events, sharing the message with the people who are attracting the message and ready to receive it.

With the understanding that money is a "currency", a vibration and energy, my intention is to utilize a portion of the income generated for philanthropic ventures. As I humbly lead an international community in the new-thought movement and conduct spiritual adventure tours around the world with the intention of leveraging other spiritual philosophies and teachings, we will help nurture our fragile planet back to health.

Thank you Meetup.com for being a pivotal piece of our business model and helping us become who we are!
